Why are all your apps free?
I create apps that I want to have and love myself. I build tools that solve problems I personally face or enhance experiences I enjoy. Since I'm making these for myself first, I don't see the need to charge others for using them.
Do you ever plan to add paid features or subscriptions?
No, I don't want people to pay for these apps. My goal is to create genuinely useful tools that people can enjoy without any financial barrier.
Do your apps track users or collect personal data?
Absolutely not. I never track users, collect personal data, or share information with third parties. Privacy is fundamental to my approach - I wouldn't want my own data collected, so I don't collect anyone else's.
Why no ads in your apps?
Ads would compromise the clean, focused experience I strive to create. They interrupt the user's flow and can feel intrusive. My apps are designed to be distraction-free zones where users can accomplish their goals without commercial interruptions.
How do you sustain app development without revenue?
These are personal projects that I work on in my spare time. I have a full-time job that supports me financially, so I can create apps purely for the joy of building and sharing useful tools. It's sustainable because I only work on projects that genuinely interest me.
Will you keep updating and supporting your apps?
Yes, I'll continue to maintain and improve the apps as long as I find them valuable myself. Since I use these tools daily, I have a personal incentive to keep them working well and add features that benefit me (and by extension, other users).

Hi, I'm Ville Schölin, the creator of Studio Elytra15. I've been passionate about technology since I first discovered Apple's ecosystem, and over the years I've built and maintained several personal projects, from hosting my own Mastodon server to creating fun websites like Apple Bingo.
Beyond coding, I've also developed a deep appreciation for specialty coffee, collecting various brewing equipment and experimenting with different roasts.
